T-Shirt Quilt

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

One of my current goals is to wrap up craft projects… I’ve got a few that aren’t quite finished and taking up space. This week I got one down, my T-shirt quilt! Yay! it is very cozy, and a great way to reuse shirts that I loved!

28 Weeks

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Officially in the 3rd trimester! I’m feeling well :) A bit on the bulky side, but good energy level, not sick, not emotional… God’s taking care of us well! I had one more follow up ultrasound this week and things look great. “Bun” weighs about 2.5 pounds and likes to kick me! Surely Ben will have someone else to teach hacky-sac skills to.

We have this little Kermit doll, who little Sarah is scared out of her mind of! But I think it seems like the size of “Bun” at the moment, I even practiced with Kermit as I figured out how to use the babybjorn yesterday. Kermit loves to ride in it. :)

Photobooth is great! We have had lots of fun with the special effects and ease of use :) Here’s our emo-look-like-harry-potter’s-parents photo!

Ubu Adopted

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

One of the accomplishments of school vacation week was successfully getting Ubu acclimated to his new home! He is now a Sugar Rd. resident. Due to the arrival of a new baby combined with the condo rule that cat’s shouldn’t be outside unless on a leash we decided this was a good decision. We still have Sarah the cat at home, she is a much better indoor cat. And Ubu now has 8 times the size of space to explore! And once snow melts he’ll be outside having a blast :) Though he looks a bit gloomy in this pic I would say that he’s doing pretty well getting used to his new home.

New Puter!

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

I just got my new 27” iMac in the mail this week! It’s huge… and small at the same time. The screen is big and bright enough to watch movies on from across the room, but like all iMacs the innards somehow are all packed into the back of the monitor.

The only problem I’ve had so far is with my gaming mouse – due to some kind of interference it was making a tiny amount of noise through my monitors whenever it moved. I mostly fixed the problem by attaching the mouse to a USB hub. The noise is barely discernible now.

I’m on Windows right now trying to get all my Steam games installed. This computer manages to make even Windows look decent, which is hard to do. OS X looks absolutely gorgeous.

Jill and I have been playing around with the built-in camera taking pictures of ourselves. Once I’m booted into X again I’ll try to post some!
