answer: the Holts! I felt the need for an eye exam recently, and came home with glasses I am supposed to wear all the time! Starting to get used to them now…but it still is different!

Jill and I were camping in North Conway, NH all this week with the Harbor of Hope youth group. It was about 15 people total, and it was lots of fun. We made some great connections with some of the kids, and did a lot together, such as whiffle ball, camping stuff (roasting marshmallows, talks by Greg, setting up tents), volleyball, hiking, shopping in Conway, etc. We went out to eat on the way home, and that was fun as well. We also went tubing on the river that runs by Saco camp ground. It’s crystal clear and shallow enough to walk in most of the way down. I brought the guitar and played a few tunes each evening. On Friday we hiked Mt. Washington all the way up to Tuckerman’s Ravine. It was a very hard hike, at least on the way up. I had to stop every 100 feet or so because my legs burned.

Yowza. We borrowed ‘Lost, season 1′ from a friend at church and have been addicted since yesterday! Various friends had said that they loved it and were highly addicted…and now we are one of them!! We finished disk one within 24 hours. Ben was even up to watch this morning at 8:00 am! woah. Anyone else out there have the same experience?

So Ben & Nate did a rockin’ show on Saturday night! It was really a fun time. They did covers that folks of all ages liked. They had some fav’s like ‘Walk on the Ocean’ and some Caedmon’s Call tunes. Our nice, Faith, smiled brightly when she recognized ‘chim-chimminey’ (that was a crowd pleaser all around!) And they did some jazzed up versions of some hymns which the older crowd enjoyed It was fun to see everyone who came out for it – My mom & dad, the damans, bylers, Murphy boys, Steve & Faith, Shannon & Tony, Geoffrey J. I’ll be playing this Saturday at the Olive Branch in Northborough with Nate! The show will start at 7, and it should be pretty good. We have a great list of songs to play. Hope to see you there!

I had fun today at “chelmsford day”…the 4th of july fair happening in chelmsford! Our church, Harbor of Hope had a booth where we handed out water, had a diaper changing station, and painted faces (that’s where i came in!) It was very fun, i never knew Chelmsford had such a big event, quite the spread, and people were getting ready for tomorrows parade, lining all of rt 4 with chairs! (miles of them!) fun times!
